Short pages from the desk. No announcements, just what the boards have been teaching us in 2026.
Fresh corners, same thirst
The puzzle still introduces itself the same way: move a block toward the pipe that shares its color, fill the block, repeat until the room is quiet. What changed this autumn is the furniture. New layouts tuck matches around tighter bends, and the opening view of the game feels less crowded with chrome, which makes the actual board easier to read.
More languages are in the mix as well. The pipes do not need translation. The little instructions around them do, and it is a relief when a color lesson arrives in the words you already think in.
Three colors, one corridor
We spent an evening on a board where blue, coral, and green all needed the same skinny hallway. The tempting move was to send green home immediately. That filled a lane and sealed blue behind a polite little wall of success.
The route that worked looked lazy. Park green one square short. Walk coral aside. Let blue drink. Then green. The level did not get easier. We just stopped applauding the first fill.
The dry cell at the end
There is a specific silence when one block is still empty and the board has no spare floor. You can see the matching pipe. You cannot reach it without a square you already used as a parking spot.
That silence is the puzzle being honest. Water Out Puzzle is not a race against your eyes. It is a request to leave yourself a way back. We wrote the route habits after this exact kind of evening.
The boards are ahead of the notes
If a layout from this year is still warm in your hands, the store page is the shortest path back to it.
